Dr. Mark J. Scheer, MD

Mark J. Scheer, MD is a Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with advanced Fellowship training in sports medicine. His subspecialties of interest are knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery.  Dr. Scheer graduated Cum Laude from Tulane University and graduated with honors from the Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Scheer completed his general surgery internship at The Mount Sinai Medical Center and the New York University Medical Center.  He completed his pediatric orthopaedic surgery rotation at the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children and his orthopaedic surgery residency at the New York University Hospital for Joint Diseases.  He completed his Fellowship training in sports medicine at the Southern California Center for Sports Medicine and served as an Orthopaedic Team Physician for the California State University of Long Beach. Dr. Scheer is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. He has published numerous peer-reviewed articles.  In 1997 and 1998, Dr. Scheer was awarded the Highest Rating of Orthopaedic Resident Evaluations from the New York University Orthopaedic Surgery Department.
