Dr. Franklin Livingstone, MD

Dr. "L" is a 62 year old physician with paraplegia, injured in a motor vehicle collision at 18 years of age, with an L-2 level injury. At age 24 he decided to get his life in order and apply himself. "I excelled and graduated with honors." Livingstone was in graduate studies to become a marine biologist before being accepted into medical school. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science in 1976, Doctorate of Medicine in 1980, and Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Medicine in 1983, all from the University of Washington in Seattle. His own personal experience has helped shaped him into an exceptional physician and an inspiration to his patients, as well as his peers.
Dr. "L" has had 28 years of experience as rehabilitative team leader and Director of Rehabilitation in several inpatient rehab. programs.  He has had extensive experience in program development, inpatient and outpatient, to include all phases and facets of physical and rehabilitation medicine.  Some specialty areas include: conservative, chronic musculo-skeletal pain management; electrodiagnosis, including E.M.G., nerve conduction and evoked potential studies; forensic rehabilitation, including disability extent, causation, treatment, and potential, and life care plan evaluation; disability and impairment evaluation.
